Road Safety Park Singapore

Singapore is getting more and more touristy with many attractions for the family to go during the weekends.  However, there is one establishment which is good for the family and all to go and at the same time create values for kids to understand about road safety and how to keep themselves safe on the road.  What is best is that this establishment is FREE.  This place is none other than the Road Safety Park in the East Coast Park!

The Road Safety park is a mininature road system created for the young to learn about road safety and what to look out for when using the roads to keep themselves safe.  The park mainly hosts traffic games for the local public schools and institutions.

Kids can chose to play the role of Go Karters ( car drivers), bicycle riders ( motorcycle riders) or just pedestrians in the park.  There are real road signage, traffic light and parking slots for kids to learn to use traffic features properly and understand the rules of going on to the roads.

There are also various stops like shops, petrol stations etc which the kids can go and get a stamp for the book which they have to accomplish.

The park is open for 24 hours but to play the game with the real traffic lights and rental of the go cart and bicycles are only available on certain time for the schools and institutions to make use of.  Public is however able to bring their own “kiddy vehicles” and bicycles to the park for the children to understand the road rules and safety features.

There are even “TP” posts around the park!
