According to a news from Straits Times on 20 May 2016.  These cameras are manned by a single officer, the new camera can capture higher resolution pictures and images.  It works even very well in low light conditions and has a battery life of 8 hours.  They can be hand held by the officers when they are deployed.  The news speed cameras are to help complement the existing effort of TP to curb speedsters on the roads and make it safer for other motorists.  TP has commented that it took them 12 years to get the cameras changed because they would like to take the main game changer and use the best for the change.  In the past, the TP have to rely on light condition to deploy hand held cameras.  But now with this new technology.  They are able to go at any types of weather conditions.
